Saftey Bay Yacht Club offers a range of courses to progress into the sport of sailing. 

The introductory keel boat course serves as an introductory experience to give participants a feel for keelboat sailing. The next step would then be to undertake the first of the Australian Sailing keelboat courses - Start Crewing (a 12 hour course). 

The keelboat we operate the course on is a 36ft racing sail boat that was specifically designed and built for the 1998 Sydney-Hobart yacht race. As such, the boat is a very good platform for learning the fundamentals of keelboat sailing. It has a very wide and open cockpit/deck area enabling easy access to all sail controls.

Safety bay Yacht Club also offers dinghy learn to sail courses and operates a Green Fleet on Sunday Morning over summer.
